Eastbourne College is now offering fully funded sixth form places to highly academic pupils as part of its 150th anniversary celebrations.

Aptly named the Professor Soddy Awards (Soddy was an eminent former pupil and Nobel Prize winner in chemistry) these places are available to very motivated academic boys and girls.

This superb opportunity is open to pupils from the state sector who would attend the sixth form as a day pupil or boarder.

Headmaster Tom Lawson commented; "We are extremely excited about the launch of the Professor Soddy Awards. The standard of applicants for scholarships is always extremely high and we are looking looking to adding this new academic award which offers unprecedented levels of financial support.

The College is a very welcoming place and we very much hope that a number of exceptionally gifted pupils take up this opportunity."
